National Citizen Service Awards
South Hill Centre played host to the latest group of youth completing their NCS award programme. Along with their parents, their work was displayed and celebrated during a wonderful evening of fun and encouragement.
NCS is a big opportunity. A combination of a residential at an outdoors centre, sessions back in the local community run by expert facilitators, and a project run to make a difference locally. Youth develop life-long skills, challenge themselves, learn to work as part of a team and give back to the community. It is a great way to boost a CV or UCAS personal statement, as it demonstrates personal and social development in a structured environment. NCS isopen to anyone aged 16 or 17.
